One Woman’s Story
A few years ago I found myself in a real crisis with nowhere to turn. I met Scott my senior year of high school and we dated for about a year. I really loved Scott. We got along so well. Although I had told myself that I wasn’t going to have sex until I got married, things just happened. We always used a condom. I never thought I would get pregnant. My periods were regular - like clockwork – so when I missed my period the first month, I completely freaked out! I didn’t know what to do or where to go. I didn’t want anyone to find out, but I knew I needed help. I didn’t feel like I could tell my parents - they would kill me. Fortunately, I grabbed the phone book and called A Woman’s Choice. I made an appointment to go in for a free pregnancy test and counseling. I was scared to death, but my counselor was so caring and concerned. She talked to me about all of my options if my test was positive. She also listened and let me tell her how I got to this place in my life. My pregnancy test came back negative. I am not pregnant, but because of my visit to A Woman’s Choice, I will never be the same.
